Every day I think about this blog. I’ll write an entire post in my head, only for it to be wiped clean from memory by the time I sit down at the computer. I tell myself I’ll blog at night (when I have time), but then the couch and television beckon.
The Hesitant Runner was intended to be an inspirational blog for those who don’t love to run. My posts would explore ways to make it fun, suggest the best gear to use, show how to be fit AND busy. Unfortunately, family and work commitments pushed it down on the priority list in recent months.
I realize now that blogging is the “me” time I’ve been looking for. Time to gather my thoughts, make sense of them, and record them so I can see my progress.
I’m told the best way to improve writing skills (a goal of mine) is to write, write, write. Blogging needs to become a habit; writing when time allows or the urge strikes won’t make that happen.
So, I’ll be taking this blog in a slightly different direction. While I still plan to post race recaps and recipes, I’ll be focusing a little more on me and my daily life: the struggles and triumphs of trying to be healthy while living a busy life.
I hope you’ll stick around!
